I would advise anyone wishing to work here to seriously run in the other direction. as time came to renew contracts they ignored our request to know if we were coming back or not, Here it is April 28th all other Boards are done their hiring and we have missed out waiting to hear from them, they hide, and have secret meetings.
Community staff members talk about you behind your back and began a very slow level of harassment. One such occurrence was the unlocking of our house doors while we slept. Yes, someone with a key to my housing unit unlocked my front door and left the door wide open on 6 separate occasions. I had my Principal change my locks and it has not happened since.
I was warned by others not to come here that the cheques were bouncing last year, but i did not heed the warning that they gave me, thinking they were just bitter because they were not asked back. One teacher is so angry at the harassment she is planning to leave now!
So if you want to work here do so at your own risk, and come in knowing cheques may bounce, you wont get your health benefits or pension paid, and just assume its a one year gig, because every year they start with a new staff, abusing and offending those who give up their homes to come and live here to teach their students.
